Useful Information
An exchange programme in Denmark is a chance of a lifetime. You will learn new ways of living and studying, a new language and most importantly, live in and learn about Danish culture.
There are many important things to remember when you want to do an exchange in Denmark.
- Students from European countries must register to get a residence permit. This proves as documentation that you have the right to stay in Denmark for more than the normal 3 months.
- Students from non-EU countries must apply for visa before arriving in Denmark,
- When moving to Denmark, even for a short period of time, all students are required to apply for a CPR-number. The CPR number is required for official purposes, e.g. when dealing with public or health authorities, opening a bank account or a mobile phone account, using the public libraries etc.
- Finding a place to live often takes time and can be very hard, so we would strongly advise you to contact your Danish education institution for information about accommodation as soon as you have been admitted. Some of our schools have halls of residence (Kollegium) and others can assist with accommodation issues.
- Average monthly living expenses are estimated to be between 650-800 Euros.
Admission deadlines etc. may differ from school to school.
We kindly ask you to go directly to the schools’ homepages for further detailed information.
