In January educational director, Bo Steen Larsen, could proudly present the diplomas to the first bachelors of finance in Denmark.

On Friday the 27th of January 2012, 28 students celebrated their new title of bachelors of finance. After 3½ years of studying the students can now write the degree on their resumes as the first ever finance bachelors in Denmark. Even though the degree is new, the business community is ready to welcome the talented graduates. Educational consultant with Almindelig Brand Thomas Grinderslev emphasized on this during his speech to the graduates, as he said: 

"I am sure that a in the future the finance sector will recruit employees with the bachelor in finance, because the programme indeed reflects the needs and wants from our sector"

Almindelig Brand has had several finance bachelor students as interns in both banking, insurance and pension and Thomas Grinderslev stressed throughout his entire speech, the broad spectrum of the programme and the many talents of the students:

"You now possess so many of "the excellent competencies" that the leaders, colleagues and we as a company both notices and appreciates."

The programme contains an in-depth theoretical foundation and a practical basis, where the students gets to test their abilities and form connections to the financial sector. Educational director Bo Steen Larsen thus ended his speech to the new finance bachelors with a little pep talk: "You graduate in the middle of a thundering financial crisis, but remember that it doesn't change the fact that the business community will still need skilled and competent employees which I think you all are. Congratulations to you all!"
