- The connection between theory and practice was included in all the nominations. That is really good, because that is Cphbusiness' key feature. I also think, that I can trace another tendency - namely the students' awareness of the importance of the working environment and the management style they will experience during the internship, says Søren Meyer, Head of Study and Career Guidance at Cphbusiness, and continues:

- In other words, companies must be aware, that for the students, it is not only finding an internship but also finding the right internship in terms of the working environment and management style.

The idea of the award is to pay tribute to the interns, the internship companies and not least the mutual benefit that comes from more than 2,200 annual internships by students at Cphbusiness. The work experience the students get through the internship is a valuable part of the education.

  • PFA

PFA has been selected for the final because the company has shown Ali Hassan Ali Al-Safi great confidence and given him insight into modern technology.

Better understanding of the theoretical tools

    - I participated in the development of a robot that will help sales advisors. It has been a great honour, Ali Hassan Ali Al-Safi says.

Ali also spend some time in the business department, where he gained insight into PFA's handling of their customers before they become private customers.

The internship has given Ali a better understanding of the practical use of the theoretical tools acquired through his Bachelor programme in Financial Management and Services.

    Great trust and satisfaction

    - Ali is great at challenging us and is fierce. He learns quickly. For example, we have had team meetings, where Ali had to make some presentations. He is very good in relation to customer meetings - both in terms of sales, but he also scores a high level of satisfaction with the customers, says Michael Bruhn, consultancy manager at PFA.

At PFA, they appreciate being chosen for and in the final of the Cphbusiness Internship of the Year:

    - First and foremost, we are very happy. We take the internship very seriously and have a fixed setup. We find it important that our interns become part of the team and get  some responsibility, says consultancy manager Michael Bruhn.

    - I can be myself and I dare going my own ways, without them saying no. It is crazy how much the company makes people grow.

Ida has exceeded her own comfort zone apporpriately and peforms in tasks that she never thought, she would be able to. Therefore, boblberg.dk is a great part of the reason why Ida can now finish her education with a belief in herself and an experience of the interaction between theory and real life practice.

    Creativity and engagement

Boblberg.dk has been very pleased with the internship, too:

-Ida has been super creative, outgoing and super committed, tells Nikolaj Stæhr, co-founder of boblberg.dk. But most importantly, she shows her feelings, both in good and bad times.

Ida's competencies within creativity, collaboration and product development have been challenged and further developed, but boblberg.dk has gained relevant input for their business development from Ida Sallerup Madsen as well.
