Part time study programmes

Our tuition is conducted as a mix of:

• Individual studies (literature, online tests, videos, etc.)
• Lectures on tools, theories and approaches that will inspire and challenge you (lecturer presentations)
• Exercises, training, discussions and presentations in relation and practice (individual/pair/group)

We offer four different modes of tuition:

• Tuition with physical attendance
• Online tuition with the presence of a lecturer
• Online tuition without the presence of a lecturer
• A mix of the above (blended learning)

Final assessments:

• All courses and degree level are completed with an exam
• A final assessment is optional at our short courses

• Admission to short courses: There are no admission requirements
• Admission to courses at the academy profession degree level: A relevant educational qualification (at upper secondary level or higher) and at least to years of relevant work experience.  
• Admission to courses at the diploma degree level: A relevant educational qualification (general upper secondary or higher) and at least to years of relevant work experience.  
• Admission without the required qualifications mentioned above: If you have competences that are not documented, you may be able to have them assessed and recognized by our guidance counsellor in terms of a competence assessment ("realkompetencevurdering" in Danish)
• Admission to Danish higher education for holders of foreign qualifications: We use the official Qualifications Framework to compare Danish and non-Danish qualifications.

A Prior Knowledge Assessment (PRA) is an individual assessment where your competencies, knowledge, and skills, that you have gotten through work experience, unfinished education, association work, and courses, can be acknowledged.

You can apply for a Prior Knowledge Assessment if you do not fulfill the entry requirements for an Academy Profession Degree or a Diploma Degree.

How to apply for a Prior Knowledge Assessment

An application consists of three steps and takes place on a website called NemStudie.

You are more than welcome to contact our student counselor before you start applying through NemStudie. She can guide you through the process.

1. Screening
   During the screening, you will be registered as an applicant. You will have to upload your resume, where your work experience, courses, and experience from your free time activities are stated. In addition to your resume, you will have to upload all the documents that you deem relevant, e.g., your grade transcripts. If your screening is approved, you can continue to the next step of the application process.
2. Application
   In the application step itself, you have to upload the documentation that has been requested by the student counselor. As a part of your assessment, you may be asked to do an interview with the student counselor.
3. Verdict
   When the application has been processed you will get the reply in your e-Boks. Your application is either approved or rejected.

State Educational Support for Adults ("Statens Voksenuddannelsesstøtte" – Danish acronym SVU)

SVU is state educational support for adults, which is intended those active in the Danish workforce whilst furthering your education during work hours. You can read all about SVU at svu.dk.

When you apply for admission to Cphbusiness, you must attach your CV. Please note that we look closely to the following points/notes in your CV.

Checklist for your CV:

• Remember that it must be stated that your work experience is relevant to the course you are applying for.
• The employment period must be stated in months and years if you are close to the limit of two years' experience.
• If you have had part-time employment, such as student jobs, you must state the number of weeks and approximately weekly hours.
• Volunteer work can also be relevant to mention in your CV because it may count as relevant experience.
