At Cphbusiness, we have winter admission with study start in January/February on several of our AP degree and Bachelor’s degree programmes.

You can apply from 15 September. See application deadlines here.

You must apply for all of our degree programmes through our website.

In the section below, we have gathered all information on how to apply for admission at Cphbusiness.

    Before applying for admission at Cphbusiness, it is important that you understand the application process.

  • Information for non-EU applicants

    Here you will find all the information you need when applying for an AP degree or a Top-up Bachelor’s degree at Cphbusiness.

    Application fee

    If you are a non-EU citizen without a Danish permanent residence permit, you must pay an application fee.

    Deadlines for payment

    Cphbusiness must receive the application fee before 29 September at 12 noon (Danish time), otherwise your application will not be processed.

    Please send the payment receipt together with your application form and documents.

    Payment information

    The application fee is 100 EUR per applicant, and the amount should be transferred via our web shop.

    Please remember to write your full name and name(s) of programme(s) you are applying for. Please notice that the fee is only payed once, regardless the amount of programmes you apply for at Cphbusiness.

    Deduction

    The application fee will not be deducted from the tuition fee if you are admitted to a programme at Cphbusiness.
    The application fee is not a guarantee for admission.
    The application fee is non-refundable if not admitted.

    Tuition fees and scholarships

    Students who do not pay tuition fee

    The following groups of students do not have to pay any tuition fees for their studies at Cphbusiness:

    • Students from countries within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA)
    • Students on a bilateral exchange programme (e.g. Erasmus. Check with the international office at your own institution)

    Students who must pay tuition fee

    Students from countries outside the EU/EEA must pay tuition fees.

    How much is the tuition fee?
    The tuition fee is different for each programme. Please go to the programmes for detailed information:

    Note that Cphbusiness grants a scholarship to three or four exceptionally talented applicants from non-EU/EEA countries. See more under scholarships below.

    Documentation of sufficient funds

    Before issuing a residence permit, The Danish Immigration Service will ask students from outside the Nordic countries and EU/EEA countries to document that you can support yourself with your own means for the duration of your stay in Denmark.

    Students who are exempted from paying tuition fee

    You may be exempted from paying a tuition fee if you have one of the following two residence permits in Denmark:

    • Permanent residence permit ("Permanent opholdstilladelse")*
    • Temporary residence permit with the possibility of achieving a permanent residence permit ("Midlertidig opholdstilladelse m.m.f. varigt ophold")

    However, having a student visa does not under any circumstances exempt you from paying tuition fee. Please contact the admission office for further information.

    If you have one of the above mentioned residence permits, it is very important that you submit documentation to the admission office when you apply. We accept the following documentation:

    • A certified copy of your residence permit letter from the Danish Immigration Service
    • A certified copy of your residence permit card (back and front of card)

    Based on the documentation submitted, the admission office will grant or deny exemption.

    *If you have applied for a permanent residence permit whilst having a residence permit with temporary stay (MHP midlertidigt ophold), and you receive this while the admission process is in progress, the following rules apply:

    • If you receive your permanent residence permit before the official commencement of the semester, you will receive a refund
    • If you receive your permanent residence permit after the official commencement of the semester, your payment for the first semester is not refunded, but you will not have to pay for future semesters.

    Scholarships

    The Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science have a scholarship programme for non-EU citizens. There are only few scholarships available for highly qualified students. The scholarship may be awarded in the form of a (partial) reduction of the tuition fee and/or a monthly grant. Only applicants nominated by Cphbusiness will be taken into consideration for a scholarship. An application form will be forwarded by Cphbusiness to potential candidates after completion of the first semester.

    Here you can find our application form for AP degree and Top-up Bachelor’s degree programmes and additional other forms, which can be used for applying at Cphbusiness.

    The application form must be filled in online and send together with your documents.

    AP degree programmes

    Application deadlines and deadlines for submitting documentation:

    EU-citizens only must be aware of the following:

    Documentation for passed supplementary courses in subject-specific admission requirements must be uploaded through this website no later than 20 January 2018 at 12 noon (Danish time). You can upload here.

    You will receive an answer to your application on the following deadlines:

    • 1 November 2017: Non-EU-citizens
    • 15 December 2017: EU-citizens

    Applicants with a Danish civil registration number (cpr-number) will receive a reply in e-boks. All other applicants will receive a reply by e-mail.

    Top-up Bachelor’s degree programmes

    Application deadlines and deadlines for submitting documentation:

    • 29 September 2017, at 12 noon (Danish time): Non-EU-citizens
    • 15 November 2017, at 12 noon (Danish time): EU-citizens

    EU-citizens only must be aware of the following:

    Documentation for passed exams in connection with AP degree programmes, that are not completed until after the application deadline, must be forwarded to Cphbusiness immediately after certificate/diploma has been received and no later than 20 January 2018 at 12 noon (Danish time). Information about such activities must be included in the application. You can upload the documents here.

    You will receive an answer to your application on the following deadlines:

    • 1 November 2017: Non-EU-citizens
    • 15 December 2017: EU-citizens

    Applicants with a Danish civil registration number (cpr-number) will receive a reply in e-boks. All other applicants will receive a reply by e-mail.

    The number of applicants and the average level of their grades, plus the number of classes Cphbusiness choose to have, may vary from year to year. Therefore, be aware that the numbers are only indicative.

    Here you will find answers to questions regarding admission for the winter intake:

    Q: What can I study at Cphbusiness?

    A: At Cphbusiness you can study either as a full degree student or an exchange student. We offer both AP degree and Top-up Bachelor’s degree programmes within the areas of mercantile, service and IT. Please see our study programmes for more information.

    Q: What are the admission requirements for the programmes?

    A: The AP degree and Top-up Bachelor’s degree programmes have different admission requirements. Please see the admission requirements for your chosen programme.

    Q: What are the payment rates for the programmes?

    A: All non-EU students without a Danish permanent residence permit or a Danish temporary residence permit with the possibility of achieving a permanent residence permit, are required to pay a tuition fee for the programme. The rates may vary, so please see the tuition fee and scholarship for the rates applying to your programme.

    Q: How do I apply for admission?

    A: You must apply for all of our degree programmes through this website. For further information please see Deadlines.

    Q: What are the requirements for my application?

    A: The application must be appended documentation to prove that you satisfy all admission requirements, and documentation for any other activities that you want to be considered as part of the application, together with a letter of motivation.     Q: Should I apply through quota 1 or quota 2?

    A: Quota 1 or quota 2 is not relevant with regard to the winter intake. For further information please see Deadlines.

    Q: What is standby?

    A: Standby means waiting list, but is not relevant with regard to the winter intake.

    Q: What are the requirements for my English skills?

    A: As all teaching is conducted in English, we expect you to have a certain level of English capabilities. Please see the Admission Requirements of the programme to which you are applying. See our AP degree programmes or Top-up Bachelor’s degree programmes.

    Q: Do I need to write a letter of motivation?

    A: You are encouraged to enclose a written letter of motivation with your application for all of our AP degree and Top-up Bachelor’s degree programmes. For further information please see Application guide for AP degree programmes or Application guide for Top-up Bachelor’s degree programmes.

    Q: How do I get my diploma, degree or certificate assessed and recognized in Denmark?

    A: Please go to www.ufm.dk for more information.

    Q: Why can’t I upload my material in one single file on www.cphbusiness.dk?

    A: On our upload facility the maximum file size is 7 MB. If your file exceeds 7 MB, you must upload your material in several single files.

    Q: What are the deadlines I should be aware of?

    A: The deadlines vary from semester to semester, so please be sure to keep yourself updated here:

    Q: When will I get an answer on my application?

    A: Please see Deadlines.

    Q: How do I get a residence permit?

    A: You have to apply for a residence permit at least three months prior to your departure to Denmark through the Danish Embassy or Consulate in your home country. For more information on the application process, please see our section on getting registered in Denmark.

    Q: Am I entitled to SU (Danish State Education Grant)?

    A: Some international students can apply for SU. For further information, please visit the SU homepage.

    Q: Do I need to learn Danish before I start?

    A: No. Danish skills are not required for our international educations, although we do encourage our students to learn Danish during their stay in Denmark. All classes are taught in English. Read more about learning Danish.

    Q: How can I find accommodation for my stay in Denmark?

    A: The housing situation in Denmark can be very difficult, so we recommend that you do start looking for a room or apartment as soon as possible. Please check our links and advice on finding accommodation.
