Research

Cphbusiness is a knowledge institution that contributes with new knowledge for use in both private and public industries.

Through active participation in research and development, Cphbusiness contributes to provide new knowledge to:

- support the development, competitiveness and growth in both the Danish and the international business community.
- ensure that the academy’s study programmes are built on the latest knowledge about the practices of the current professions and industries.

At Cphbusiness, all major R&D activities are described as development projects, and they are implemented through close cooperation between students, the industries and other knowledge institutions. In 2014, a total of 1,255 students and 237 companies were involved in Cphbusiness' development projects.

At Cphbusiness, we approach development projects as part of a common social responsibility, where new knowledge is shared, communicated and converted in the industry, thus helping to create growth.

The primary focus of the development projects is the identification of needs in relation to the labour market’s needs, thus ensuring that we always educate our students within the latest knowledge and the skills demanded by the business community within the individual subject areas.

In that way, the R&D activities on Cphbusiness support the academy’s strategic goal of offering practical education by being close to the industries and professions that the business academy’s study programmes target.

The total project portfolio covers all Cphbusiness’ subject areas and focuses on issues such as service innovation in tourism, the future financial market, the retailers’ challenges in a digital age and the EU’s chemicals legislation.
